Transportation Engineer II
Location: Milwaukee, Janesville, or Waterford, WI.
The Transportation Engineer II works across State, County, and Local Agencies, primarily designing roadway, drainage, and underground improvements. Proficiency with Civil 3D is preferred. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with our diverse disciplines and offices.
Responsibilities
Design roadway, drainage, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements using Civil 3D.
Conduct drainage, traffic, and various engineering studies.
Provide general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients.
Prepare engineering plans and specifications using DOT standards.
Assist senior staff with client management, project pursuits, and business development.
Support project engineers and managers by making significant decisions on a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery.
Education and License Requirements
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
Must-Haves
At least 2 years of relevant work experience on municipal removig or highway agency transportation projects.
Team-first culture mindset with a focus on individual development and goal accomplishment.
Ability to travel within Baxter & Woodman’s service area using own transportation.
Capability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities.Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills options.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification strongly preferred, but not required.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus, but not required.
Compensation The pay range for this role is $77,000 - $95,000, based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
