A hospital in New York is seeking Board Certified Psychiatrists for full-time locum tenens coverage on its Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. Coverage is needed for two open positions, with an ASAP start once credentialed. This is a well-supported inpatient environment with strong safety measures in place. Compensation: $300/hr Position Details Specialty: Psychiatry Practice Setting: Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit Coverage Start: ASAP (once credentialed) Coverage Type: Full-time locum tenens Number of Openings: 2 Schedule and Call Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Call rotation: 1:4 Practice Environment Adult inpatient unit consists of 30 beds split between two physicians (approximately 15 patients per provider per day). Total behavioral health beds: 63 Inpatient staffing includes 3 full-time inpatient psychiatrists plus 2 locum openings. Outpatient services (at full staffing) include 5 physicians and 1 APP. The psychiatrist may only encounter pediatric patients when on weekend call in the crisis unit; these patients are evaluated and transferred to an adolescent facility if admitted.
