CNC Programming & Setup: Create and refine CNC programs for turning operations, ensuring process accuracy and consistency. Machine Operation Oversight: Monitor and troubleshoot CNC turning activities to maintain smooth production. Tooling & Material Selection: Choose tools and materials to support quality and cost-efficiency. Process Optimization: Analyze operations and recommend improvements to reduce cycle times and enhance productivity. Quality Assurance: Conduct first-article inspections and oversee production quality. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Support routine maintenance efforts and minimize downtime. Team Collaboration: Work with design, engineering, and production teams to interpret blueprints and CAD models. Documentation: Keep accurate process logs and documentation of tool changes and machine performance. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong background in CNC turning, including setup and programming. Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks). Skilled in G-code, M-code, and manual programming. Familiarity with machining metals, plastics, and other materials. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Committed to safety standards and operational excellence. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. CNC machining certification or advanced technical training. Hands-on knowledge of multi-axis CNC turning centers.
