SUMMARY
Ability to work closely with the Project Manager to assist in the overall coordination of specific projects; lead on-site installation teams, make recommendations regarding the quality of work and potential changes in scope, and while remaining accountable for identifying and maximizing customer satisfaction. As well as going to different client sites to install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of electronic security and fire alarm systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Physically install, program, configure, and troubleshoot all components of electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (Access Controls, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, etc.) Physically install, program, configure, and troubleshoot fire alarm and other Life Safety systems, including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems. Delegate tasks and oversee the work of others, survey work sites to determine the best installation practices, and provide on the job training to other technicians as needed. Complete new installations while ensuring the systems are functioning properly and satisfy local codes. Travel to client sites to perform the system installation, confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements. Responsible for the wiring and connectivity of control panels, devices, application requirements, and security software installation. Keep thorough documentation during installations to assist with as-built drawings upon project completion. Adhere to safety protocols and complete appropriate documentation. Meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction. Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers Manage several medium to large jobs simultaneously and doing so within approved hours and margin tolerances The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
Experience with any or all the following preferred: AMAG Symmetry, Lenel, Brivo, Kantech, Verint, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Wisenet, Verkada, DMP, Notifier, Honeywell, or Siemens. Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude, ability to be on-call or work nights, must be detail-oriented and organized with strong communication skills. 5-7 years of experience as a technician within electronic security, fire alarm or related field Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) Level I and Certified Alarm Technician (CFAT) Level II Fire strongly preferred. Proficiency in construction related and MS Office software including but not limited to Autodesk, Rhumbix, Bluebeam PDF, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word. Read and interpret electronic security and fire alarm system layouts from blueprints. Working knowledge of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the National Electric Code (NEC) codes and standards. Ability to create a team atmosphere, resolve conflicts, and keep moving toward the end goal. Always demonstrate and uphold all WB Moores values and mission.
