Pharmacist – Houston, TX
We are seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment covering a leave of absence at a leading pediatric-focused healthcare facility in Houston.

Full-time, 40 hours/week (4 x 10-hour shifts; schedule TBD) Assignment Length:
13-week contract Patient Population:
Pediatric to Adult (0–Adult)
Key Responsibilities Promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication-use process and preventing or resolving drug-related problems Verify medication appropriateness based on diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions Accurately enter and verify medication orders in the electronic medical record Ensure timely processing and delivery of medications in accordance with established guidelines Prepare and oversee sterile compounded products using aseptic technique and infection control standards Ensure compliance with medication safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements Supervise and ensure proper aseptic technique practices by pharmacy technicians Perform duties of a registered pharmacist in a manner appropriate to the developmental ages of patients served
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist (RPh) license Minimum of 2 years hospital staff pharmacist experience Pediatric hospital experience strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies Pediatric and weight-based dosing Medication order verification and clinical review Sterile compounding and aseptic technique Infection control and medication safety EMR documentation and order entry Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment
