About the Role Our client, a leading commercial General Contractor, is seeking an experienced
Finish Superintendent
to oversee high‑end interior scopes for a major project in
Cocoa Beach, FL . This role requires deep expertise in
convention center and spa environments , with a strong emphasis on
drywall, framing, interior finishes, and millwork‑heavy buildouts . The ideal candidate is a field leader who thrives in complex, detail‑driven environments and can deliver exceptional finish quality while maintaining schedule, safety, and subcontractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all
interior finish activities
on site, including drywall, metal framing, ceilings, millwork, casework, flooring, and specialty finishes. Oversee finish scopes specific to
convention center spaces, spa areas, wellness facilities, and high‑traffic public interiors . Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Maintain daily communication with the Project Manager regarding schedule, manpower, material needs, and field conditions. Conduct detailed quality control inspections to ensure finish standards meet or exceed expectations. Manage sequencing and installation of
custom millwork , decorative elements, and specialty interior systems. Enforce jobsite safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards. Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation. Identify field issues proactively and collaborate with project leadership to resolve them quickly. Drive the project schedule for all finish trades and ensure timely completion of punch lists and closeout activities.
Required Experience 5+ years
as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent focused on
interior finishes . Proven experience delivering
convention centers, hospitality, spa/wellness facilities, or large public assembly interiors . Strong background in
drywall, framing, and millwork‑intensive scopes . Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, finish schedules, and millwork shop drawings. Demonstrated success managing multiple finish subcontractors simultaneously. Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Commitment to safety and high‑quality craftsmanship.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with
high‑end hospitality or resort projects . Knowledge of specialty spa systems (steam rooms, saunas, wet areas) is a plus. OSHA 30 certification. xsgimln Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
