Warp Operator – 2nd Shift Location: Cherryville, NC Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM Pay Rate: $16.00/hour PPE Requirement: Must have safety shoes
We are seeking a reliable Warp Operator with prior experience in textile machine operations. While direct warping experience is preferred, we are also open to candidates with experience operating spinning or weaving machines within a textile production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and update shift logs and communicate relevant information during shift changes. Set up the warping machine according to production specifications, ensuring correct material types and lot numbers are used. Verify machine settings, including end count, yardage, speed, and defect parameters. Confirm proper threading across the entire machine and maintain correct thread paths. Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal beam quality and consistent tint distribution. Perform quality checks, including selvage inspection, circumference tests, and defect logging. Proactively observe beams in production to catch and correct issues such as lost ends or material defects. Doff, lease, tie, and wrap beams; apply directional arrows and proper labeling. Load/unload beams onto the machine head and record scrap weight as needed. Report runtime and any downtime or mechanical issues. Assist with creel loading and tying in ends when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Perform other tasks as directed by leadership. Qualifications:
Prior experience in a textile manufacturing setting is required. Experience with warping, spinning, or weaving machines is strongly preferred. Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently. Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
