Role Description (IL/MO) Remote with some regional travel.
The Outreach Coordinator serves as a key ambassador for Sana Lake Recovery and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and strengthening referral relationships across a broad network of professional partners. This role requires a seasoned outreach or business development professional with a strong understanding of addiction treatment, healthcare referral systems, and relationship‑based marketing. The Outreach Coordinator represents Sana Lake Recovery with professionalism, credibility, and integrity in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Professionally market and represent all Sana Lake Recovery programs to referral partners and community stakeholders, ensuring accurate and compelling communication of services and outcomes.
Respond promptly and professionally to all telephone calls, emails, and business inquiries related to Sana Lake Recovery.
Attend all scheduled meetings, trainings, and conference calls fully prepared and on time.
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Sana Lake Recovery programs, services, policies, and procedures, including referral submission processes, admissions coordination, and collaboration with families and referral sources.
Build, maintain, and expand professional relationships with a diverse range of referral partners, including hospitals and healthcare systems, VA hospitals and VA‑affiliated providers, employee assistance programs (EAPs), private therapists and counselors, treatment providers, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing professionals, attorneys (DUI, Trust Fund, and related specialties), unions and union leadership, clergy and faith‑based leaders, local, state, and federal government agencies.
Deliver high‑quality professional presentations and in‑service trainings to hospitals, VA facilities, unions, agencies, and community partners.
Conduct a minimum of 2–4 professional presentations or in‑services per month.
Complete a minimum of five (5) in‑person outreach contacts per day, including at least three (3) scheduled meetings and two (2) new face‑to‑face contacts.
Accurately document daily outreach activities, referral development efforts, and outcomes in the CRM system.
Collaborate professionally with Sana Lake Recovery outreach, admissions, and clinical teams to strengthen referral coordination, share best practices, and support a high‑performing work environment.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times in accordance with referral source expectations and the Sana Lake Recovery Dress Code.
Adhere to all expense policies and budgetary guidelines.
Work evenings and weekends as needed to support outreach events, community meetings, and professional engagements.
Engage in occasional overnight travel as required.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with members, partners, and community stakeholders.
Experience in community outreach and conducting public engagement activities or events.
Proficiency in research to identify opportunities and gather relevant data to inform outreach strategies.
Skills in training and providing educational presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in an environment committed to holistic recovery care.
Familiarity with mental health and addiction recovery services is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
