Position Summary The purpose of this position is to assure proper controls in inventory control, quality, and safety are maintained, and that a positive communication approach with all employees is supported. The position’s daily objectives will focus on proper utilization of manpower, training, equipment, and to assure materials availability required to process customer orders for on‑time shipment.

Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities

Assign work based on shop order control schedules.

Coordinate all customer pick up orders and UPS/FedEx shipments (in/out).

Ensure necessary materials, tools and proper equipment is available to perform daily work.

Train all new hires entering the department.

Responsible for all cross training within the department.

Responsible for leading all activities commiserate with Inventory Transactions and Controls.

Conduct inventory cycle counts.

Troubleshoot inventory issues.

Ensure work area and all shift employees follow safety regulations to include but not limited to PPE, 5S and general working conditions.

Conduct monthly safety topic meetings with employee(s).

Review and recommend to Department Leadership any measures to improve the department and areas to include but not limited to production methods, equipment, quality, safety, and service, performance of the equipment and individual’s shift responsibilities.

Qualifications And Skill Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving or warehousing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
