Description The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily cleaning operations, ensuring high standards in guest rooms and public areas by assigning tasks, training staff, inspecting work, managing supplies, and handling guest requests to maintain cleanliness, order, and guest satisfaction at the hotel. This position will report to the housekeeping manager.
Responsibilities
Staff Supervision:
Schedule shifts, assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and coaching to housekeeping staff.
Quality Control:
Inspect guest rooms, restrooms, lobbies, and other areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meet standards.
Inventory & Supplies:
Maintain stock of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, placing orders as needed.
Guest Service:
Address and resolve customer complaints or special requests efficiently.
Operations:
Develop and implement cleaning procedures, manage budgets, and handle emergencies.
Reporting:
Prepare reports on personnel actions, work assignments, and departmental performance.
Qualifications
Leadership and team management.
Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness.
Strong communication and problem-solving.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.
Opera experience is ideal but not required.
