Computer Application Teacher
Job Summary The High School Computer Applications Teacher at Midland Christian School will provide instruction in computer applications, technology skills, and digital literacy to students in grades 9–12. This role focuses on preparing students for college, careers, and life through practical technology skills, problem‑solving, and responsible digital citizenship within a Christ‑centered learning environment.

Curriculum Development
Develop and implement computer applications curriculum aligned with the school’s faith‑based mission and academic objectives
Plan engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that prepare students for college and career readiness
Integrate Biblical principles, ethical technology use, and character education into instruction
Classroom Management
Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment
Encourage responsible technology use and digital citizenship.
Foster collaboration, teamwork, and respect among students
Instruction and Assessment
Instruct students in computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, internet research, and digital communication
Teach keyboarding proficiency, digital safety, and responsible use of technology
Introduce foundational concepts in coding, data management, and emerging technologies as appropriate
Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Spiritual Development
Model Christ‑like behavior and values through actions and interactions with students. Exemplary behavior and character consistent with Christian values, serving as a positive role model for students both inside and outside the classroom.
Facilitate opportunities for students to explore and deepen their faith.
Parent Communication and Collaboration
Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
Collaborate with parents/guardians to support student learning and spiritual development
Participate in parent‑teacher conferences and school events
Professional Development
Engage in ongoing professional growth related to technology education and faith‑based instruction

Professional Responsibilities
