Partners directly with business partners and attorneys to analyze and evaluate legal issues and risks and develop solutions to meet business objectives. Will serve as a subject matter expert for mutual fund regulatory filings and assist with internal and external meetings, including drafting agendas, taking minutes, and preparing materials.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position will support Thrivent's registered fund business. Drafting and submission of SEC filings for the funds will be the primary function of this role.
Working knowledge of investment funds and regulatory framework applicable to mutual funds and ETFs is preferred.
Understanding of the functions, legal and business needs across divisions, departments, and business units supported. Continually updates knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate.
Supports the organization's goals and projects by conducting research, providing organization, and developing options to support implementation of key initiatives.
Independently identifies, analyzes, and researches legal issues as appropriate. Works directly with outside counsel to resolve issues.
May lead other GCO initiatives or participate in enterprise-wide initiatives as appropriate. May have responsibility to develop and/or maintain compliance procedures.
Required Job Qualifications
College degree and paralegal certificate.
3+ years related experience.

Experience with tools and technology used to support SEC disclosures.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exercises sound business acumen and judgment.
Fosters teamwork and collaboration.
Ability to evaluate electronic tools utilized by law and compliance to meet the needs of the GCO.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $81,537.00 - $110,315.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.
