Prenatal Services Worker - Doula (Healthcare) Position Title: Prenatal Services Worker - Doula Location: Overland Head Start/Pregnant Moms Employment Type: Full Time Salary Range: $26.41 - $27.03/hour About YWCA YWCA of Metropolitan St. Louis (YWCA) has been serving the community for more than 120 years, providing essential, wraparound services that support women and families throughout their time in our programs. Each year, YWCA serves approximately 10,000 women and their families, offering a multitude of services. Key Responsibilities
Recruit and enroll eligible expectant women for the program utilizing electronic family records. Document outcomes in the expectant women family records (i.e., application, enrollment, attendance, required documentation, etc.).
Provide for expectant women's orientation, pre- and postpartum assessments, and offer the opportunity to develop culturally competent goals to support expectant women from conception up to 6 months postpartum.
Assist families with identifying, obtaining, and maintaining a medical home, insurance, prenatal care, dental care, well-baby visits, screenings and other pertinent medical needs within the first trimester or within 30 days of enrollment, and through pregnancy and delivery.
Provide or secure prenatal education on fetal development, healthy eating, benefits of breastfeeding, and the risk presented from drug use including smoking and drinking. Equip expectant families with tools for labor and delivery. Provide postpartum follow-up including, but not limited to, whole self-care, postpartum depression, safe sleep, and family support.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Doula Certification (required)
Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in either Infant/Toddler or Home Visitor settings, with at least one year of experience providing doula services.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
