Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, focusing on moderate to complex small business and co-managed business settings
Previous experience with an IT Consulting firm or Managed Services Provider is highly advantageous
Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux systems
Knowledge of Active Directory (AD Security/Groups, roles, permissions, and GPOs)
Experience with Microsoft Server systems: Windows Server from 2008 onwards
Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V
Skills in Sophos Firewalls and associated VPNs
Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in team environments
5+ years working in a Managed Service Provider is preferred
ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune)
Programming skills for application installations/changes via PowerShell and other routine task automation
Experience in setting up and troubleshooting firewalls, rules, VPNs, and SD‑WAN
Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2013 deployment, migration, and recovery
Advanced experience with cloud services including Office 365, SharePoint Online, and cloud storage solutions
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and secure essential IT systems, including servers, networks, and storage solutions
Monitor and enhance system performance and swiftly resolve technical issues
Lead strategic planning for system upgrades and migrations
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal teams
Collaborate in addressing complex technical challenges
Keep pace with emerging technology trends and innovations
Administer client servers, networking hardware, and firewalls
Assist in determining necessary equipment and software to meet client requirements
Manage all aspects of delivering internal and client‑facing IT projects, including planning, documentation, project planning, and measuring success milestones
