The Summit Bechtel Reserve
Position Overview
The Zip Ride operator is responsible for providing a safe, fun and engaging zip ride experience at The Summit Bechtel Reserve.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the specialized program training during the staff training period
Use all safety equipment mandated in your program venue
Check material frequently and communicate equipment concerns and needs
Ensure proper use, security, and care of program equipment
Fit guests with harnesses and helmet correctly and supervise use of personal protective equipment
Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
Minimum age: 18+
Preferred: Experience guiding/facilitating and managing others while 'at-height' (6'-180')
Body weight between 50-250 as per the manufacture's requirement for participation
Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
Physical & Practical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds
Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55

Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
Salary: $1600 - $1700 per month
