Mental Health Clinician (Part-time)

Koinonia Family Services is excited to announce an opportunity for a part-time clinician to serve clients in our Family Restoration Program in Loomis, CA. The program supports youth and their families in Placer County who are at-risk of entering foster care or are in foster care, as well as youth who have been adopted through the foster care system. This is a great opportunity for an experienced licensed clinician (LCSW or LMFT), or a registered associate (ACSW or AMFT) who is looking to further their professional development.

$30-$33 per hour or higher, depending upon overall qualifications

The schedule is flexible to meet client needs–up to 28 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete assessments to inform a diagnosis
Develop person-centered treatment plans
Provide individual and family therapy in clients' homes or in-office depending upon clients’ needs
Evaluates clinical interventions to meet desired outcomes
Write mental health notes and document client progress
Complete necessary Medi-Cal approval paperwork and related documentation
Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Collaborate with the youth’s natural supports and system team members
Assists with coordinating discharges and after-care efforts
Maintains intern registration and/or licensure status in good standing and participates in required supervision
Qualifications:
ACSW or AMFT registration, or LCSW or LMFT status (required)
2+ years of experience in a social service setting, working with children and families (preferred)
Experience working with children who have experienced complex trauma and their families (preferred)
Experience completing assessments and treatment plans
Skilled in therapeutic modalities, assessments, and treatment planning
Strong commitment to cultural competency and ethical practices
Passion for ongoing professional development

This position requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation as driving is an essential job function. The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for tasks such as visiting client homes, engaging with community partners, often in locations not easily accessible by alternative transportation methods. The nature of these responsibilities necessitates the ability to drive to ensure timely, reliable, confidential and effective support for the youth and families we serve.
