Job Title: Equine Farm Coordinator 1 Department: FAES | Animal Sciences Wooster Equine Under the supervision of the GDAL Equine Herd Manager, this position provides essential support for faculty and students in equine-related classes and fieldwork. Responsibilities include assisting with classes and labs, providing general animal care, and maintaining facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

Assist faculty and students during classes, labs, and fieldwork activities. Provide general animal care, including feeding, handling, training, health checks, breeding, and parturition monitoring. Maintain and clean facilities, stalls, and equipment. Record and maintain accurate data and records for demonstrations and student instruction. Operate basic equipment and vehicles, including animal transportation. Communicate effectively with co-workers and student employees; may supervise student workers. Monitor inventory and assist with ordering feed and supplies as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. No prior experience required. Preferred Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in animal care, equine handling, or related agricultural work. Additional Information: This job profile is a Farm Coordinator 1 (T1 level) on the career roadmap and is a classified civil service position which will have a 180 probationary period. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications. Location: Apple Creek - Equine Stable (0590)
