Job Description
The State of Ohio – JFS is seeking an experienced
AI Chatbot Developer / AI Engineer
to design, build, and maintain intelligent conversational solutions. This role focuses on developing both traditional and Generative AI chatbot solutions using
Microsoft Bot Framework, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Google Cloud Contact Center AI (CCAI) , along with supporting and modernizing
SharePoint On-Prem (2016) applications to M365 . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AI chatbot development, prompt engineering, API integrations, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies, with the ability to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly AI solutions that enhance customer experience and workforce efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain AI and GenAI chatbot solutions using Microsoft Bot Framework, Copilot Studio, and Google CCAI Build and modernize SharePoint On-Prem applications to M365 solutions Architect conversational AI solutions, including user flows, APIs, and system integrations Develop Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock and related AWS services Implement and tune NLP techniques to improve chatbot accuracy and performance Train, deploy, monitor, and optimize AI models and chatbot performance Create dashboards and reports to analyze chatbot usage and effectiveness Design natural, intuitive, and human-like conversational experiences Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, project managers, and AI CoE teams Lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for emerging AI technologies Create Copilot plugins, custom copilots/agents, and automate workflows using Power Automate Integrate AI solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Graph, and enterprise data sources Produce technical documentation using Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of IT experience , including:
5 years .NET development 2+ years SharePoint experience 3+ years AI Chatbot development using Microsoft Bot Framework
(mandatory)
Experience with
Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure Bot Service, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Language, Azure OpenAI, Graph API, Semantic Kernel Experience integrating chatbots with
Outlook, SharePoint, Teams , and third-party APIs Strong GenAI experience including
prompt engineering, RAG, and model fine-tuning Experience with
Google CCAI Services
(preferred) Experience developing GenAI solutions using
AWS services (including Bedrock) Strong programming skills in
C#, .NET, JavaScript, and Python Experience with
M365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Ability to modernize SharePoint 2016 On-Prem applications to M365 Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related discipline Experience leading architecture and POC initiatives Experience working with governance and compliance teams Public sector or enterprise-scale AI implementation experience
