Talascend is currently seeking a

Mechanical Installer

for a contract opportunity with our client in

Laurens, South Carolina .

Overview The role involves installing conveyor and sortation systems, ensuring safety and compliance with standards, and working collaboratively with the installation team.

Responsibilities

Provide proof of OHSA 10 and/or OHSA 30 certification.

Install conveyor accurately from the prints and teach local new hires.

Assist with mechanical adjustments to conveyor systems.

Conduct interactions with others on site in a professional and courteous manner.

Perform housekeeping and general clean‑up duties.

Adhere to all safety standards and ensure a safe work area.

Report unsafe site conditions to the site lead.

Participate in safety training as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience with conveyor and/or sortation installations.

Requirements

Forklift experience required.

Current HERC Forklift Safety Training certification preferred.

Hands‑on tool experience.

Ability to lift up to 30+ lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 40 ft.

Ability to stand or walk on concrete or steel grating for an entire shift.

Detail oriented.

Reliable transportation.

Good communication skills.

Good attitude.

Must be physically able to traverse project construction sites.

Able to perform physical activities, such as carrying materials (35#).

Understand and enforce safe practices for proper use of tools.

Shift 6am-5pm, may vary; expected to work 58+ hour work weeks.
