Minimal, local only Contract-to-hire Contract offering rate: $40-$44/hr Potential salary offering once perm: $82-$89K/annually Summary
The Sr. IT Technical Specialist is responsible for day-to-day support, maintenance, and performance of PC, LAN, and WAN environments across assigned office locations and job sites. This role supports desktop systems, network infrastructure, servers, and cloud services while ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality desktop, laptop, and network support for assigned offices and surrounding job sites Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware and software, including servers, NAS devices, network cabling, switches, and wireless access points Monitor and maintain network stability, performance, security, backups, and disk management Support Windows Server (2012/2016), Windows 10, Office 365, and cloud storage platforms (Egnyte preferred) Maintain and adhere to IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Participate in IT meetings, status calls, and task teams Plan and support hardware/software installations, upgrades, decommissions, and new technology implementations Support and train users on network, desktop, and laptop systems Utilize service desk ticketing systems to track and resolve issues Coordinate with third-party vendors for network, hardware, software, and telecommunications support Communicate system updates, outages, and issues to users, IT leadership, and operations management Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT/network support experience Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, Meraki security devices, switches, and wireless access points Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Office and job site environment with moderate noise levels Occasional exposure to heights and physical activity Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on hardware tasks
