Position Summary
Full‑time Mental Health Technician (MHT) at Rockford Center, a 138‑bed mental health facility in Newark, DE, providing comprehensive inpatient and partial care for children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Five 8‑hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday, run from 3 PM to 11:30 PM with floating units. A mandatory 2‑week orientation (8:30 AM–5 PM) is required.
In this rewarding role you will deliver direct patient care to geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children with psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety and well‑being.

Responsibilities
Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned
Participate in treatment planning
Assist in the admission process
Orient new patients to the unit and their program
Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions
Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or equivalent experience with adults in a behavioral health setting. Strong communication, customer service, organization, listening and clinical skills.
Two (2) years of related experience, preferred, with knowledge of psychiatric patient‑care techniques and understanding of mental illness.
CPR certification and completion of Handle with Care training during orientation.
