Job Summary: Responsible for leading all electrical field operations on a heavy industrial construction site. This role provides hands-on supervision of electrical crews and subcontractors, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements and schedule objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities Yes
Duties/Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site electrical construction activities
Lead electrical foremen and crews; manage daily manpower, work sequencing, and productivity
Coordinate electrical work with mechanical and other trades to support the overall project schedule
Ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, NEC, OSHA, and company standards
Enforce site safety requirements, including JHAs, toolbox talks, and field safety audits
Develop short-interval work plans and adjust resources to meet milestones
Identify and resolve constructability issues and trade interface conflicts
Track progress and provide daily manpower and production reporting
Support inspections, testing, punch list completion, and system turnover
Communicate field status, constraints, and coordination issues with the Site Superintendent and Project Management
Required Skills/Abilities
7+ years of heavy industrial electrical construction experience
Prior experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Lead Electrical Foreman
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and installations
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
Proven leadership and crew management skills
Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations
Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand technical documents, safety procedures, and instructions relevant to job duties. English proficiency is required due to operational and safety communication needs.
Preferred Education and Experience
Journeyman Electrician license
OSHA 30 certification
Experience on large-scale industrial projects (refineries, chemical plants, power plants, manufacturing facilities)
Experience with commissioning and startup support
Proficiency with scheduling tools and construction management software
Physical Requirements
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and shifts as required
Ability to work in industrial environments (heights, confined spaces, outdoor conditions)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear required PPE
