Job Summary We are currently recruiting for a

2nd Shift Flexo Press Operator

to join our team. The 2nd Shift Flexo Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the printing press to produce labels and related products. This position offers onsite training and the opportunity to learn a valuable skilled trade in the printing industry. Employees will have unlimited growth potential and the chance to continuously advance their career. Previous printing experience in a manufacturing setting is a huge plus. This position reports almindeligly to the Pressroom Manager.

Pay Rate:

$21.50‑$29.00/hour for an experienced Flexo Press Operator plus $ смогут shift differential

Schedule:

2nd shift, Monday‑Thursday, 2:30 PM‑1:00 AM, with occasional overtime

Responsibilities

Reads job order and loads dies into the press, installs print cylinder on shaft, and installs the cylinder in the press.

Fills ink pans, screens, and pumps with prescribed inks.

Starts the press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder as necessary.

Engages print cylinders; adjusts printing impression as necessary, places cylinders lead‑to‑lead, and runs down the approval strip.

Cuts a sample of the approval strip from the printed roll, inspects for imperfections such as print‑to‑print out of register, print‑to‑die out of register, missing impression, ink starvation or color adjustments, and makes adjustments as necessary.

Cleans plates, prints cylinders and dies as needed, performs daily, conducts weekly ժողովրդական and monthly maintenance as required.

Mixes inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.

Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.

Qualifications Chartered

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 1 year narrow‑web Flexo printing experience required.

Flexo press, narrow‑web printing, flexible packaging, screen printing,$total and/or label printing/packaging experience is preferred.

Multi‑color printing experience.

Experience with color matching, die cutting, plate mounting, and conducting changeovers.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales, and other measurement devices.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a manufacturing setting, which contains equipment and machinery that can be noisy and hazardous.

Often exposed to moving mechanical parts; noise level is usually moderate.

Occasionally exposed to chemicals, some of which could be hazardous.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, talk, and hear.

Occasionally required to walk and use hands to handle or feel.

Occasionally required to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
