is seeking an
Associate Engineer
to join a Biotechnology company located in
Branchburg, NJ
through an on-site, 12-month contract. The
Associate Engineer
will focus primarily on drug product development for cell therapy products.
Responsibilities
Creates and executes manufacturing processes in adherence with current GMP and regulatory requirements
Support the delivery of engineered immune cells to internal and external groups
Provide solutions to target technical challenges required for manufacturing platform success, such as cryo-preservation and cell culture media optimization
Contribute to experimental strategy relating to product formulation and in-process testing
Work interdepartmentally with Process Development and Analytical Development to integrate stem cell process technology
Maintain laboratory procedures, systems and electronic notebooks, to ensure documentation of experimental activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or related field, preferably with 2-4 years of related industry experience
Practical experience in mammalian cell culture process development, including molecular biology, aseptic techniques, and cryo-preservation
Knowledge of mammalian cell culture and media optimization
Familiarity with cell culture unit operations such as Rotea, LOVO, and Xuri
Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) is desirable
Comprehension of bioprocess characterization and validation concepts, cGMP, and GLP
Compensation
$75,000-$80,000 ($35-$40/hour) on a W-2 contract rate
