We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician II! This position requires a California Registered Technician who will operate under Pharmacist Supervision. The primary responsibilities include packaging, preparation, and compounding of oral medications, intravenous medications, as well as chemotherapy/biohazard medications. Additionally, the role involves implementing and maintaining control procedures, conducting inventory management, and overseeing stock control.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 at all times.
Utilize proper aseptic technique for all pharmaceutical mixing.
Order, receive, and maintain accurate medication inventory.
Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufacturers for timely deliveries of medications for infusion.
Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning as required.
Procure and maintain supplies necessary for daily mixing operation.
Prescription order entry and process.
Coordinate and submit prior authorizations.
Determine patient’s prescription benefits and seek appropriate financial assistance when applicable.
Order, receive and maintain accurate medication inventory.
Assist with routing and release of prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy.
Properly label and fill prescription drugs.
Your qualifications should include:
High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy.
3 or more years of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician.
Certification Board (PTCB), preferred.
