
American Express Company seeks Directors, Product Management to develop product strategy and vision based on business needs. Partner with cross-functional teams to convert product vision into a well-managed product roadmap. Collaborate with stakeholders to define product scope, manage priorities, and monitor product development, execution, launch, and post-launch optimization. Analyze and monitor creation of detailed documentation of user needs, including user journey, functional requirements, and technical solution for product features. Drive projects by outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying issues and risks. Analyze product usage and trends, and compare analyses against market trends. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, followed by 6 years of progressively responsible experience with product development and business analysis in an enterprise setting. Experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: developing, defining, testing, and implementing new technical features within a matrixed environment; developing user stories, linking business requirements, and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT); leading end-to-end IT program management; and with Apache Spark, Big Data, Cloud Services (AWS Lambda, Glue, Redshift), ETL, Hive, HBase, Java, Kafka, Machine Learning, NoSQL Database, Oracle, Pig, Python, REST, Spring Framework, and SQL. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
