FACILITY INFORMATION:
  • No. of Beds in Department: 6-bed Level 2 NICU
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Support Staff Available: Full pediatric and NICU care team
  • Reason for Coverage: New site launch

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline: 30 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Rate: TBD

  • Neonatal resuscitation
  • Nursery care procedures
  • NICU management (Level 2 experience required)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Licenses: Active DC medical license (IMLC accepted)
  • Board: Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • DEA: Required
  • Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Experience: Level 2 NICU experience required
  • Other Qualifications: Comfortable working independently in NICU and nursery; DR presence required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide clinical care in both the nursery and Level 2 NICU
  • Perform neonatal resuscitation and manage NICU admissions
  • Collaborate with pediatric and neonatal staff to ensure quality outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
  • Participate in interview process with Chief of Regional Based Specialties and provide 3 professional references
