JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Dubois, PA Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: August 13, 2025 Ongoing On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call; 7a - 7a Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 30 minutes (expected) SHIFTS TO BE FILLED August 1314, 2025 August 2024, 2025 August 2728, 2025 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: Average 12 patients per day Rounding: Included Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Gastroenterology; procedures only required for emergent situations (EUS and ERCP preferred but not required) FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 219 EMR System: Cerner Office Equipment Available: Standard GI procedural equipment Specialty Backup Available: RN, NP, 24-hour anesthesia, specialty backup Support Staff Available: Full hospital support staff Reason for Coverage: Supplemental PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (Emergency privileges available within a week for a clean file) Credentialing Timeline: 1 week or less (with clean file) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Emergent GI procedures as needed (EUS and ERCP preferred but not required) JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license required (IMLC accepted) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA Boards: Board Certification in Gastroenterology DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour call coverage for gastroenterology services. Perform emergent GI procedures as required. Manage inpatient consults and follow-ups for gastroenterology patients. Collaborate with hospital staff including RNs, NPs, and anesthesia teams. Ensure accurate documentation within Cerner EMR.
