SAP Data Analyst - Fully Remote - 1 Year Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team. The successful candidate will have a background in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and experience with SAP systems, particularly SAP HANA and BODS for ETL. The SAP team is converting from ECC to S/4 HANA in the coming years, which will impact the EDW, including table structures, contents, and joins. The candidate will analyze these impacts, work with stakeholders to gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications. This role is critical in establishing a strong foundation for the conversion process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze the SAP S/4 HANA conversion impacts on the EDW, including lineage analysis of downstream and upstream effects.
  2. Understand changes in the S/4 HANA system and their impact on EDW architecture.
  3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  4. Create high-level roadmaps and detailed plans for the conversion process.
  5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for a smooth transition to S/4 HANA.
  6. Maintain technical documentation related to EDW and S/4 HANA conversion.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP, with strong knowledge of SAP processes and systems.
  • Experience navigating and understanding EDW architecture.
  • Proficiency with SAP HANA and BODS for ETL, or other Data Warehouse tools.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical roadmap creation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with S/4 HANA conversion and implementation.
  • Knowledge of data quality principles.
Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of data governance.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP HANA, BODS).
Additional Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience with SAP tools such as Business Objects, SAP HANA Studio/BODS.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP/Enterprise Data knowledge; familiarity with MES, Sustainment, Planning, etc., is a plus.
  • Understanding of backend development, including tables and joins.
