Quality Technician
to join our team. The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing steel products, documenting results, and ensuring all materials meet company and customer specifications. This role plays a key part in maintaining high-quality standards throughout our production process. Key Responsibilities: Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished steel materials for conformance to specifications Perform dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments Conduct hardness, tensile, and other material property tests as required Record and report inspection results accurately and promptly Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve non-conformance issues Assist in maintaining calibration of inspection and testing equipment Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree a plus 1+ year of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or steel environment preferred Familiarity with basic inspection tools and testing methods Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Good communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
