Adheres to AdventHealth's Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Performs properly and legibly documents in accordance with department policy. Documents in telemetry logbook. Continuously observes monitors. Recognizes and documents normal EKG patterns. Recognizes abnormal patterns and notifies nursing staff promptly. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated. Maintains monitor alarms per policy. Verifies that monitor alarms are set and audible every shift. Troubleshoots monitors as needed. Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring of activities as needed. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according to policy and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade skills. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit. If in a clinical setting or have patient contact, include reference to the age of patients served and how the job functions are performed in relation to the customer/patients age/needs. Qualifications The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv One year monitor tech experience Highly Preferred Or has successfully completed AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.
