Sr. Application Developer

The Sr. Application Developer's primary responsibilities are to guide and develop the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of work within the team, fostering communication and best application development practices for customized software. The Development Manager should have strong knowledge of software development and design, with experience in developing business-critical applications. Duties & Responsibilities
Stay current with new IT technologies to maintain expertise. Oversee team processes, monitor metrics, and implement continuous improvements. Guide the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of work within the team. Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot software failures. Review application performance to ensure efficiency and alignment with business needs. Evaluate and recommend new technologies supporting Healthfirst initiatives. Communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; manage shifting priorities. Design, develop, and maintain complex applications. Develop unit tests and ensure code coverage. Participate in developing specifications like user stories and designs. Resolve complex issues and problems. Assist in developing logical and physical specifications. Document designs, issues, solutions, and tips. Foster a team approach to software development and delivery. Minimum Qualifications
Experience with Agile development and continuous integration. Experience working with remote and offshore teams. Ability to work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with root cause analysis and revisions. Good planning, organization, and work management skills. Critical thinking aligned with business goals. Bachelor's Degree. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Kotlin/Java, Quarkus/Spring Boot, React, Typescript, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD pipelines. Leadership experience and product ownership. Mentoring and contributing to best practices. Hiring Range
Greater NYC Area: $114,000 - $164,730 Other locations: $97,800 - $145,520 Healthfirst offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and incentive programs. Salary and benefits depend on experience, education, and other factors. Additional Details
