Job Description:
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking for personable and informed students to join our ambassador program to assist with the recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities
Give 3-5 tours a week to prospective students and parents while giving an authentic glimpse of the AU experience by sharing personal encounters as students. Staffing in-person and virtual events such as: admissions information sessions, Showcase AU, Preview Day, webinars, and other events. Ambassadors will also correspond with prospective and admitted students via email or in-person answering their questions about student life at AU.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
Part-Time. 20 hours per week.
Salary Range
$17.95-$18.25 per hour.
Required Education And Experience
This job position is restricted to current/enrolled American University undergraduate students only. We are looking for energetic students that are involved in various activities on campus. Our ambassadors are passionate about AU, are leaders on campus and are eager to share their AU experiences with various audiences. The ambassadors program strives to foster an inclusive community that recognizes diverse identities and interests both in and out of the program. All AU Ambassadors are required to undergo a background check conducted by American University’s Police Department. Your admission into the AU Ambassadors Program is contingent upon a successful completion of a background check.
