Job Details
Essential Duties
Supports the Chief Compliance Officer and the Bank in evolving and strengthening the compliance program in all areas of the program and where support is needed.
Monitors federal and state banking laws, regulations, and compliance topics to provide support and assistance to key business stakeholders to assess applicability and impact, enabling the Bank to proactively address requirements. Primary areas include but are not limited to corporate safety and soundness requirements related to Regulation O, Regulation W, Regulation H, Regulation Y, Bribery Act, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Develops compliance monitoring and testing programs, reports, and tracks remedial action plans with business units.
Coordinates the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures resulting from new laws and regulations, supporting the Banks policy governance and change management process.
Provides advice and guidance to management on compliance topics, interpretation of regulations, product and service changes, policy reviews, remedial actions, and breach management.
Prepares periodic compliance reports for the Board, executives, and management regarding key issues.
Works with stakeholders to identify remediation plans for noncompliance and monitors their completion.
Stays updated on changes in banking laws, industry trends, and best practices, sharing relevant information with peers and partners.
Reviews customer complaints to assess compliance and conducts root cause analysis.
Supports the Banks compliance management system, including risk assessments, monitoring, training, policy management, and exam coordination.
Performs other compliance-related activities as deemed necessary by the Chief Compliance Officer, with the capability to learn and support additional areas.

Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree required
Regional banking organization experience required
10+ years of compliance experience, familiar with risk management in RBOs
Industry accreditation preferred, e.g., CRCM
Extensive knowledge of banking laws and regulations
Ability to work independently with strong communication skills
