Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient DevOps practices across our engineering organization. This role demands hands-on experience in CI/CD tooling, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes operations, GitOps, and security integration across SDLC workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and maintain scalable, self-hosted GitHub Actions Runners, enabling dynamic provisioning and secure execution of workflows. - Handle Jenkins administration, including managing controller-agent topology, plugin lifecycle, credential vaults, shared libraries, and planning migration from legacy systems to GitHub Actions. - Administer GitHub Enterprise features—enforcing branch protections, secrets management, reusable workflows, fine-grained access control, and environment-specific policies. - Oversee the setup and operations of Nexus Repository Manager for handling and distributing artifacts such as Docker images, Maven packages, Helm charts, and npm modules. Define cleanup rules, proxy setups, and high availability strategies. - Implement SonarQube for code quality scanning, integrating it into pipelines to enforce centralized quality gates and provide actionable insights to development teams. - Build and support Kubernetes infrastructure for deploying platform components, CI runners, dev environments, and microservices, using tools like Helm, native manifests, and Kustomize. - Utilize Argo CD to establish GitOps pipelines, managing version-controlled Kubernetes deployments with support for sync strategies (manual/automated), rollback mechanisms, drift detection, and phased delivery techniques. - Use Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-specific provisioning tools to build reproducible, compliant infrastructure with reusable modules and version-controlled changes. - Drive DevSecOps by integrating container/image scans, SAST, SCA, license compliance, and secret detection into CI/CD workflows and pre-deployment gates. - Optimize performance and cost efficiency of self-hosted GitHub Runners and Jenkins agents in Kubernetes and VM environments, ensuring auto-scaling and workload isolation. - Implement monitoring and observability using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and the ELK stack, capturing pipeline metrics, runner health, system alerts, and usage patterns for better incident response. - Partner with development, QA, and security teams to identify and resolve pipeline issues, define best practices, and standardize workflows to support scalable DevOps adoption. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including DevOps blueprints, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and self-service onboarding guides. - Conduct security evaluations and threat modeling for CI/CD and GitOps processes; recommend and automate solutions to reduce risks without relying on manual steps. - Collaborate with compliance and security teams to enforce secure development requirements within pipelines, provide tooling for secure deployments, and support audit processes. - Lead security-shift-left initiatives by automating review processes, integrating open-source/commercial tools, enhancing developer awareness, and reducing manual touchpoints. - Architect, manage, and refine robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions and Jenkins, ensuring reusable, fast, and secure deployment workflows for various environments and teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Expertise in CI/CD with Jenkins (shared libraries, pipeline design, plugin management). - Proficient with GitHub Actions and both hosted/self-hosted GitHub Runners, including reusable workflows and policy enforcement. - Deep knowledge of Nexus Repository Manager, with skills in artifact lifecycle management and secure distribution. - Experience in setting up and integrating SonarQube with CI pipelines, enforcing quality rules and gates. - Strong Kubernetes knowledge, including workload deployment using Helm, manifest creation, and performance tuning. - Hands-on with Argo CD, managing GitOps-driven Kubernetes rollouts with rollback, drift detection, and progressive delivery. - Deep scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or Groovy to automate tasks across DevOps ecosystems. - Proven experience with Docker, Linux systems, and shell-based troubleshooting. - Comfortable with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-native alternatives. - Strong command of Git, Git branching strategies, and secure pipeline practices. - Experience implementing DevSecOps standards: image scanning, license verification, and secret checks. - Familiarity with secrets management and enforcement of security policies throughout CI/CD pipelines. - 5–10+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
