ABOUT THE JOB The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for delivering quality, comprehensive systems design, business requirements, and business cases to the IT organization, aimed at improving business efficiency and productivity after implementation. The candidate will work in a corporate environment, collaborating with managers and staff, and should have a good understanding of core distribution processes such as finance setups, sales orders to cash, procurement to payables, and working knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) in a distribution environment. Systems used include, but are not limited to: ERP - JD Edwards, WMS – JDA / BlueYonder. Reports To :

This position will be a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office and 3 days remote. WHAT YOU'LL DO The scope of work may vary depending on assignments and projects. 1. Business Requirements Follow a standard, structured process for gathering and prioritizing business requirements. Interview business users and SMEs to determine requirements. Analyze existing systems and data flows within business units. Develop and maintain documentation related to business processes and systems. Engage in data modeling, technical analysis, and research for developing requirements. Translate requirements into detailed project briefs or requirement packages. Contribute to business case development and justification documents with Business Consultants. Define system operations and data presentation, present designs to clients, and collaborate on implementation. Support development of IT-related business justification documents. Provide costing and sizing for enhancement requests in collaboration with IT. 2. Business Solutions Design Identify and assess potential solutions for technical and business suitability. Create innovative solutions for complex problems. Draft proposals for system modifications or replacements. Ensure applications support instrumentation, rapid enhancements, and user experience. Produce feasibility reports. Collaborate with architects, developers, and business units to ensure compatibility and satisfaction. Discuss findings and design appropriate IT solutions with stakeholders. Proactively address potential system, design, or process issues. 3. Business Solutions Testing Develop testing schedules and plans. Create use cases for business and applications. Review new application features and provide feedback. Conduct system and user acceptance testing. Ensure proper testing, communication, scheduling, and releases to minimize impact. 4. User Training and Support Develop training materials and aids for new systems or updates. Provide training on new systems and features. 5. Resource Management Coordinate work efforts, scheduling, and prioritization. Share knowledge and mentor team members. Support professional development and identify training needs. Contribute to performance reviews and process improvements. Act as a point of contact for the team to build trust and confidence. 6. Additional Responsibilities Follow all IT standards, processes, and methodologies, including QA, PMLC, and SDLC. Other duties as assigned based on organizational needs. Varied TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS Regular travel may be required. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY None – Individual Contributor Role WHAT YOU'LL NEED Education / Certification Two-year college, trade school, or equivalent work experience; four-year college preferred. Qualifications / Experience 8+ years of systems design and testing experience, with some leadership experience. Experience with core distribution processes such as Sales to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Warehouse Management. Ability to interpret and communicate business processes and requirements. Experience configuring and testing systems with users. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
