Description The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for delivering comprehensive systems design, business requirements, and business cases to improve efficiency and productivity. The role involves collaboration with managers and staff, understanding core distribution processes such as finance, sales, procurement, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Systems used include ERP - JD Edwards, and WMS - JDA/BlueYonder.
Reports To Business Analysis Manager
Work Arrangement This position is hybrid: 3 days in-office, 3 days remote.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirements:
Gather, analyze, and document business needs; interview users; develop requirements packages; support business case development.
Business Solutions Design:
Assess options, create proposals, ensure system compatibility, and present solutions.
Business Solutions Testing:
Develop testing plans, conduct testing, and ensure quality releases.
User Training and Support:
Create training materials, train users, and support day-to-day operations.
Resource Management:
Coordinate efforts, mentor team members, and suggest process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Follow IT standards, processes, and methodologies; perform other duties as needed.
Travel Expectations Regular travel required.
Management Responsibility Individual Contributor
Qualifications
Two-year college or equivalent; four-year college preferred.
8+ years in systems design/testing with leadership experience.
Experience with core distribution processes and systems.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities See detailed competency handout; includes expertise in application configuration, testing tools, ITIL, data transport, UI design, and business process development.
