Please note:

Presently, this position is up to 75% remote work and 25% minimum in office time. When working remotely, 1 hour response time is required for urgent IT matters and is subject to change at any time.

The full range for this position is $65,556.00 - $95,429.00 .

This position will require the successful completion of a Criminal Justice Information Services fingerprint and background clearance within 90 days of employment, this must be maintained throughout employment.

(Illustrative Only) Administers the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Server/Desktop infrastructure Administers the Active Directory security policies, user and O365 email accounts, data backups, anti-virus systems and WSUS Server Manages and optimizes Microsoft-based enterprise solutions in both a physical and virtual environment Provides state-of-the-art solutions for high availability and fault tolerance Maintains inventory of equipment and vendors Documents systems for end user and other IT personnel Analyzes system faults, troubleshoots, and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect and resolve problems Supports end users and other IT teams such as helpdesk, desktop support and application development at Tier 2 and 3 levels Identifies priorities and resolves escalated hardware and server issues Performs activities related to planning, installation, operational, administrative, and technical support of Operating systems environment, and associated hardware/ software components Troubleshoots software and hardware problems, and identifies, implements, and documents system fixes Maintains awareness of and participates in planning and notification of upgrades Other duties as assigned Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: walking; working with and around other staff and County employees; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand-wrist) for keyboarding; vision-acuity (near) for monitoring PC screen data; Color vision necessary for working with color coded cables; hearing and speech (ordinary conversation) for communicating with staff and customers; touch (finger dexterity) for keyboarding; Environmental hazards include electrical hazards associated with working with computers, servers and circuits, and potential for falls from ladders.

Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems (CIS) or related fieldand four years of experience in a systems administration role; OR Associate's degree in computer information systems (CIS) or related field and five years of experience in a systems administration role OR Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Preferred Qualifications: Manage support tickets using Service Now (SNOW) support ticket management system; SAN storage solutions; Mobile Device Management; Vulnerability Scanning; Knowledge of Privilege Access Management; Strong VMware/ESXI experience including patch management; IBM Big Fix Patch Management; 2016/2025 Windows Datacenter / GPO / Active Directory; STIG experience hardening Operating Systems and Applications.

ideal candidate

would have knowledge and experience in conducting change management techniques, as well as a high level of detail in documenting departmental changes ; be an energetic, enthusiastic self-starter with an emphasis on the customer experience. This position will be working to support a 100+ server VMware environment providing critical services to Coconino County internal/external partners.

Thorough knowledge of: Multi-Factor Authentication, IBM BigFix, Splunk, Solarwinds, BitLocker, Vulnerability Scanning MDM – InTune, Vmware Workspace One, Airwatch Configuring SAML for SSO integration Creating and maintaining SSL certificates Working with a password vault and password rotations - CyberArk Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating systems Network Protocols and Standards including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and SNMP Core software applications, including Active Directory,Group Policy, O365, IIS, SQL Server, AWS, Clustering, file/print services, backup/restore technologies, PowerShell scripting, Deployment Technologies (WDS, MDT, SCCM, InTune). Dell hardware, Microsoft Office Suites and datacenter operations Installing, configuring and maintaining all aspects of server hardware (both physical and virtual) and associated network environment. Server performance tuning and monitoring tools Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting techniques Cisco Hyperflex, Nutanix, or PureStorage VMware vSphere 8.x or newer, VCSA, HA/DRS environment Powershell Scripting Windows, Mac and/or Linux server administration and integration Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Perfmon and 3 rd

party monitoring and altering tools Cloud based technologies including AWS, Office 365, , and Azure Cohesity backup/restore technology Ability to: Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment with an emphasis on the customer experience Conduct research into systems issues and products as requires Effectively communicate ideas to technical and not technical audiences Communicate effectively verbally and in writing Work safely and promote a culture of workplace safety Coconino County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
