Role IT Support Engineer
Location - Deerfield, IL
Contract position
Role Description Provide touch support for all the equipments related to point of sale/ Pharmacy and other projects, which include troubleshooting, installation and decommissioning. Keep accurate track of inventory in lab and storage rooms. Provide network level-1 support(racking/ patching the network stack and lab workstations) Work with external vendors to troubleshoot issues Virtual machine snapshot/ restore and basic troubleshooting
Required Skills Basic unix commands (AIX/ Suse linux OS) e.g vi editor, find, grep, ssh, scp etc Basic understanding of vmware (virtual machines, vcenter etc) Experience in Remedy and/or ServiceNow Understanding of POS/ Pharmacy will be a plus. Basic networking skills understanding of network equipments Being able to rack and patch router/ switches/ firewall/ server etc familiar with concepts like vlan, full/ half duplex, firewall rule concepts (source/ destination/ port etc ) Be able to login to switch/ firewall (read only access) and validate the configuration Wifi concepts and troubleshooting experience (AP/ WLC etc) Able to provide touch support (install pos register, icplus workstations, printers etc) should be able to lift equipments up to 20-30 lbs
