Summary: The role involves serving as a
technical lead developer
for the
MMS Project , responsible for the design, development, and implementation of software components using
IBM Curam (HCR and CGIS modules)
and modern technologies such as
Java/J2EE, Python, NodeJS, ReactJS , and
AWS cloud services . The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including analysts, architects, and vendors—to produce
technical design documents (TDDs) , conduct
gap analysis , resolve
defects , and ensure solutions meet business and policy requirements. The position demands strong skills in
Curam OOTB modules , complex
SQL ,
agile methodologies , and
healthcare systems , particularly

: DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The software developer will serve as the on-site technical resource for the MMS project. The resource should have extensive hands-on software development experience using Java/J2EE technologies, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, SQL/No-SQL databases, Curam and cloud technologies (AWS). The consultant will work with the team’s business analysts, subject matter experts, Sr. Cúram technical lead, Quality Manager, system integrator and designated vendors as well as Enterprise Services team to meet the project goals.
Duties include: • Design and document detailed technical design documents based on business and functional requirements. • Develop software components/API’s based on detailed technical design documents, by following the project’s coding standards. • Conduct data mapping and gap analysis to ensure software meets business needs. • Assist technical leads/architects with technical issue analysis, Proof of Concepts, and SQL data queries. • Use Cúram framework knowledge to develop functionalities, resolve defects, and meet business needs. • Serve as a technical resource, guiding project team and vendors; advise on best practices. • Review and advise on solutions for meeting business requirements using Cúram; communicate risks and offer alternatives. • Collaborate on requirements, specifications, and integration needs with project leadership. • Coordinate with Quality and vendors to meet deliverables and quality standards. • Report project status and issues timely to MMS leadership. • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANKED IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience At least four (4) years of experience with IBM Cúram framework; experience in Cúram HCR and CGIS Cúram Certification Experience with Cúram OOTB modules: Workflow, Tasks, CER rules, Evidence framework, Web-services Proficiency in complex SQL queries Experience with Python OR NodeJS, ReactJS/Angular, JSON Experience with AWS Proficiency in troubleshooting IBM Cúram out-of-the-box and custom code Experience with various development methodologies (waterfall, scrum, agile) Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical topics Strong problem-solving skills Teamwork and collaboration skills Knowledge of healthcare insurance principles and processes Experience with Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks
