Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Outfitting Engineer to support the successful execution of a large-scale offshore engineering project. The Outfitting Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, integration, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems onboard a Floating Production Unit . This is a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe outfitting of the Facility to meet project requirements, and the engineer will work closely with design, construction, and commissioning teams.

6 months, with a possible 6-month extension Work Location: Primary: Office-based in Singapore Secondary: Field/site assignment overseas required by the project Important:
Candidates must be willing and available to work in both Singapore and overseas during the contract period. Overseas assignment is a key requirement for this role. Key Responsibilities
Outfitting Engineering & Coordination: Oversee the installation and integration of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems for the Vessel, ensuring compliance with design specifications Review and validate construction drawings and documentation related to outfitting Manage the scheduling and coordination of all outfitting activities to ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget Attend design and safety review meetings including HAZID/HAZOP, and incorporate client and class feedback into design deliverables. Prepare and review material take-offs (MTOs), technical requisitions, and vendor data for outfitting components. Design and Engineering Support: Liaise with design teams to identify potential conflicts and ensure that the outfitting elements are integrated with the overall Vessel design Provide technical input during the engineering phase, contributing to the development of the detailed design Develop 2D/3D outfitting layouts for accommodation, LQ, and safety systems using engineering design tools Construction and Commissioning Oversight: Support construction teams in the installation of outfitting elements, including mechanical equipment, piping systems, HVAC, and electrical systems Ensure that the outfitting work is carried out in compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety protocols Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure that systems are fully operational and meet quality standards before handover Conduct regular site inspections and work closely with production teams to resolve technical queries (TQs), interface issues, and punch list closures. Provide construction-ready documentation including installation drawings, fabrication details, and progress reports. Risk Management & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and practices throughout the outfitting process Identify and mitigate any risks related to outfitting works, including equipment failures or design inconsistencies Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure safety standards and project quality are maintained Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of outfitting work progress, issues, and solutions Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project management team Ensure that all documentation, including as-builtdrawings and operational manuals, is updated Liaise with classification societies (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, BV) and clients for drawing submissions, approvals, and inspections. Ensure all outfitting systems are compliant with international standards (SOLAS, IMO, USCG, API, Shell DEP, ISO, IACS) andproject specifications. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in outfitting or similar roles in offshore oil and gas projects, specifically FPU, FPSO, or similar floating facilities Previous experience working on large-scale offshore projects is essential Hands-on experience with offshore construction, integration, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems Familiarity with engineering software: such as AutoCAD, Aveva Marine/PDMS, Navisworks, SmartMarine 3D, Cadmatic, Revit. Skills Strong technical knowledge of outfitting systems including HVAC, electrical systems, and piping Familiarity with international offshore industry standards (e.g., API, ISO, IEC) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D modeling tools) is a plus
