The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Lightweight Rowing Coach. This is a one-year fixed term position. RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Assist the Head Coach of the Women's Rowing program of a Division I athletics program. Responsibilities include assisting with the administration of recruiting, training, practice, fundraising, budget management, and team travel. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Help plan and organize team training and practice sessions. Assist with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford. Follow NCAA and IRA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts. Help arrange for transportation of team and equipment to and from practices and competitions. Understand and apply NCAA and IRA regulations to all aspects of program. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or her designee. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of three years of coaching experience Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with student-athletes, peers and the general public Computer literacy with common office applications such as Word, Excel and Filemaker Pro required Ability to understand and comply with all rules and regulations of the Stanford University, and NCAA Ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with the a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University and the community Ability to monitor and adjust program budget Certifications and Licenses : Must possess and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C Driver’s License. Physical Requirements : Ability to drive day or night. Work Standards : When conducting university business, must comply with California Vehicle Code and Stanford University driving requirements. This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program, recreation and wellness department, and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that your involvement with DAPER activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations. The expected pay range for this position is $72,000 to $74,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs. At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
