Ridgewells Catering The
Client Relations Manager, ME , primarily focuses on sales and client relations for corporate clients for major events but also has a hand in overall operations for the division. This position requires work in our offices in Bethesda, MD. Some travel throughout the year is required, including a consecutive 3-week period in June.
RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: Manage the existing client relations team and oversee the management of a portfolio of high-end corporate clients Create strategic client-facing materials and presentations following Ridgewells brand guidelines Use catering software to manage client information and create customized menus to reflect each client’s budget and needs Design individual service plans for each client inclusive of staffing levels, equipment needs and layouts Collaborate with the culinary department to research and develop innovative, new menu items that incorporate regional flavors and companies/brands Coordinate all internal tastings with various departments Serve as the liaison between clients and the rest of the team to ensure flawless execution Work with staffing team to create event labor budgets and preliminary schedules Work with the operations team to ensure all events are supplied with necessary equipment, beverages, and disposable products to create a seamless on-site execution Develop training materials and presentations for on-site event staff Train, manage and supervise front of house and back of house temporary on-site staff Handle all billing, invoicing and accounts payable functions for each client Develop, implement and execute new ideas, methods and procedures to enhance sales experience and improve the overall operation Assisting company with additional event needs outside of the Major Event department as needed Comply with all ServSafe, TIPs and HACCP guidelines Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business. Bachelor’s degree (Business, Hospitality, Event Management, Project Management or related field preferred) 3+ year(s) of account management, project management, client relations and/or sales Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Team player with an outgoing, helpful personality, and positive, can-do attitude Understanding and willingness to adopt the mentality that “whatever it takes to get the job done is part of my job” Physical and mental capability to work long hours on your feet, while interacting with clients, guests and staff, at outdoor events Proficient use of MS Office (specifically MS Excel and MS Publisher) with the ability to learn new computer programs quickly Up to 20% travel, including up to 20+ consecutive days in June for a major golf championship. Knowledge and/or interest in food is a must. Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
