Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

for Hillcrest Medical Center is responsible for the overall financial administration of the facility. Additional areas of responsibility may include general accounting, data processing, materials management, information systems, and financial reporting. This position ensures internal controls are adequate to safeguard assets and that accounting systems generate accurate and timely financial reports. Responsibilities

Help create and implement initiatives to build and grow the facility. Analyze and view ideas from a financial perspective to ensure future success. Consult with the Division CFO and Corporate office concerning financial affairs, goals, and objectives. Develop operating policies and procedures. Review product line analysis and consult with the facility CEO and Division CFO. Prepare financial and management reports; administer the facility’s annual operation and capital budget. Partner with the facility CEO and other executives on the annual business plan. Coordinate functions and activities of departments, evaluate performance, and maintain good employee relations. Monitor expenses for efficiencies and cost reductions. Participate in Board meetings, Medical Staff, and community meetings. Prepare projections for future performance to facility and Division leadership. Maintain a healthy revenue cycle for cash flow. Work with the Division and joint venture partner on managed care negotiations to maximize payer contracts. Qualifications

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field. Master's Degree in Hospital Administration or Business Administration (preferred). Previous experience as a hospital CFO. Knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, and regulatory standards. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective communication. Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, and recommend actions. Ability to interpret and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures. Sound judgment and calmness in emergencies. Knowledge of strategic planning and goal implementation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an integrated health delivery system. CPA certification.
