Hillcrest Medical Center

Since 1918, Hillcrest Medical Center has provided an environment of hope, health, and healing. The 656-bed hospital is among Oklahoma’s most widely respected and acclaimed hospitals, offering extraordinary care and a multitude of services in many areas. These include a regional burn unit – The Alexander Burn Center; a collaboration with OU Health combining the expertise of the state’s only National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center (NCI) with the strength of Hillcrest to deliver advanced cancer therapies and clinical trials; a dedicated women's health center featuring an OB-ED; a unique, all-inclusive rehabilitation center – Kaiser Rehabilitation Center; a comprehensive diabetes education center – The Hillcrest Center for Diabetes Management; and the state’s largest dedicated heart hospital for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease – Oklahoma Heart Institute.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Hillcrest Medical Center as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) .

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Hillcrest Medical Center is responsible for the overall financial administration for the facility. Additional areas of responsibility may include: general accounting, data processing, materials management, information systems, and financial reporting. This position ensures that internal controls are adequate to safeguard the assets of each entity and that the accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reporting.


Responsibilities


  1. Help create and implement initiatives to build and grow the facility.
  2. Help analyze and see ideas from a financial mindset to ensure the success of future endeavors.
  3. Consult the Division CFO and Corporate office personnel concerning the facility’s financial affairs, goals, and objectives.
  4. Develop operating policies and procedures.
  5. Ensure accurate review of product line analysis and consult with the facility CEO and Division CFO.
  6. Prepare financial and management reports and administer the facility’s annual operation and capital budget.
  7. Partner with the facility CEO and other executive team members in preparing the annual facility business plan.
  8. Plan and coordinate functions and activities of assigned departments, including evaluating performance and initiating personnel actions.
  9. Monitor expenses to identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost reduction.
  10. Participate in Board of Trustees, Medical Staff, and community meetings.
  11. Prepare projections to inform leadership of future performance.
  12. Maintain a healthy revenue cycle to ensure cash flow.
  13. Work with the Division and joint venture partner on managed care negotiations to maximize payer contracts.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Hospital Administration or Business Administration preferred.
  • Previous experience as a hospital CFO.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations, evaluate data, and implement improvements.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making and emergency response.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and goal implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an integrated health delivery system preferred.
  • CPA certification.
