Job Summary: The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as directives from the administrator. The goal is to ensure the highest quality of resident care at all times.
Essential Duties (including but not limited to): Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs. Incorporate commercially produced instruction materials and training aids into existing in-service programs as necessary. Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the facility's in-service educational programs. Develop, evaluate, and control the quality of in-service educational programs following established policies and procedures. Secure, develop, and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., relevant to in-service educational programs. Complete administrative requirements such as forms, reports, class attendance, and subject records. Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the administrator regarding in-service training programs.
Qualifications: Must possess at least two (2) years of college education. Must hold a valid, active LVN/LPN or RN license in California. Must be DSD Certified. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a post-acute/skilled nursing facility preferred. Experience in supervision and teaching principles and practices is required.
