Ford's GDI&A department seeks talented individuals skilled in Machine Learning, Big Data, Statistics, Econometrics, and Optimization. Our goal is to foster evidence-based decisions by unlocking insights from data across domains like Connected Vehicle, Smart Mobility, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Warranty Analytics. We are looking for exceptional Machine Learning and AI scientists eager to engage in all project stages, from problem identification to model deployment. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about learning to navigate the evolving field of mobility technology. We offer the freedom to conduct original research, choose methodologies, and tackle world-class machine learning challenges. This role involves applying AI and ML to innovate in autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity, customer interaction, and product design. You'll be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to using AI and ML to create groundbreaking solutions and shape our strategic direction. Qualifications

Doctorate in computer science, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (managing data, applying statistical techniques, reporting results) OR Master’s degree in related fields AND 3+ years of data-science experience OR bachelor’s degree AND 5+ years of data-science experience Experience with cloud-based deployments and best practices Expertise in AI domains such as: Natural Language Processing (finetuning and distillation of LLMs, evaluation, deployment) Computer Vision (anomaly detection, multi-sensor fusion, object detection, scene segmentation, motion prediction) Generative AI (fine-tuning diffusion models, multi-modal LLMs, 3D generation) Physics-informed neural networks (ML for fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, point cloud/mesh neural networks, PDE surrogate modeling) Benefits and Additional Information
