Special Conditions This is a limited-funded position contingent upon funding availability. The department is especially interested in candidates with higher education experience. Yes Positions Supervised Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Comprehensive understanding of academic policies, curriculum development, accreditation standards, and student services in a polytechnic or technical education setting. Expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating post-secondary technical programs that align with workforce needs and institutional goals. Knowledge of current trends in technical industries (e.g., engineering, IT, skilled trades) to ensure programs are aligned with market demands. Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to drive program growth and institutional alignment. Ability to build strong connections with employers, advisory boards, and community partners to support internships, job placement, and curriculum relevance. Additional Position Information Benefits of Employment (Applies to full-time, non-police employees only) Job Duties Duties & Responsibilities Identify funding opportunities for the Polytechnic@UofM, including both federal and state workforce related grants, industry sponsored research and other projects, federal research funding, and public/private research opportunities. Develop and submit proposals for funding opportunities. Assist with budget oversight and management of grants and contracts. Assist with project reports and grant compliance. Duties & Responsibilities Advise and assist leadership with design, evaluation, and implementation of programs within the Polytechnic, including undergraduate and graduate degree programs, micro-credentialing, non-degree certifications and licensures, continuing education, and upskilling of the workforce. Engage public and private partners to enhance the mission of the Polytechnic@UofM. Advise leadership on operational efficiency, compliance, and process improvement. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with development and execution of articulation agreements and memorandum of understanding with TCAT’s, Community Colleges, K-12 schools, and other public or private entities to enable pathways for matriculation in programs in the Polytechnic@UofM. Assist with agreements with public or private partners for students in the Polytechnic@UofM to receive training for micro-credentials, non-degree credentials, technical certifications, or licensures.
