Head of Engineering
to lead its growing technical team. This is a high-impact leadership position that will be responsible for owning the entire codebase, driving product development, and scaling mission-critical technology. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Engineering will play a key role in shaping the product roadmap and the future of the organization’s technical strategy. With over 1,000 political campaigns powered by this platform, this is a rare opportunity to build technology that directly influences real-world outcomes in the political space. Key Responsibilities Lead full-stack development using React (TypeScript), FastAPI (Python), Rust, and PostgreSQL Oversee cloud infrastructure management and optimization in AWS Build and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines for statistical modeling Develop and maintain a cross-platform mobile app using React Native Scale backend systems to support millions of user interactions and voter contacts Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the product roadmap and sprint planning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience Proven experience in software engineering and engineering leadership roles Proficiency with relevant parts of the tech stack (React, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, Rust, PostgreSQL, AWS) Strong architectural, infrastructure, and deployment experience Preferred Experience (Bonus Points) Experience in leadership roles within established engineering organizations Expertise in cross-platform mobile app development Willingness to relocate to Washington, D.C. for in-person collaboration at company HQ This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing engineering organization that’s building the future of political data strategy.
