Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Chestnut Surgery Center is looking to hire an LVN for Pre-admission(PAT), Pre-Op and Discharge. You must have a minimum of 2 years experience.Position Summary:Serves as supposrt personnnel following regulations for the preactice of Licensed Vocational Nurse including assisting with pre-admission, pre-op, and discharging patients, chart preparation, medical records, medication reconcilliation, assisting providers and other personnel as needed, and other collerateral duites.Minimum requirements:Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current California LVN License, BLS required and ACLS desired. Two years experienceof clinical with an emphasis in PACU, surgery, or ER required.Eligibility: All employees must be able to provide proof of their identityand their right to work in the United States.Clinical Skills and performance expectations:Provides Patient care under the direction of the RNIdentifies patient needs and prioritizes accordingly, asking for assistance from the RN when applicableWears appropriate attire in restricted areasAdheres to recommended traffic patternsKeeps work areas clean, tidy and stocked,free of soiled equipment and supplies.Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic techniqueUtilizes aseptic techniqueand infections control principles to establish and maintain intravenous accessCollects and records peritinent patient data. (vital signs, NPO status, medical history,etc.)Documentation reflects effectiveness of care/interventions.Administers medication according to the policy and procedure within scope of practiceReports abnormal or unexpected outcomes or observations to RN and/or PhysicianAssists the RN in management of patient complication/emergencies preoperatively and postoperativelyIdentifies and intiates probelm resolutionMedical Records:Demonstrates knowledge of medical record policy and procedures in management of patient informationParticipates in medical records QAPI
